I was very lucky to be able to host a group trip to Brazil's Amazon for Peacock Bass so the canal and pond fishing down near Miami looks so exciting. My largest on a floating line and fly was 17 pounds......my cousin's was 19 pounds.

A trip to Brazil for a serious Peacock Bass adventure is going to be around $8,000


In Brazil they catch Peacocks over 20 pounds and it Florida the biggest is around 10 pounds.

There are some guides in southern Florida for Peacocks and other Exotic plus Baby Tarpon, Snook and LMB.

I think one of the guys I talked to said it was year round but maybe spring was best?

Summer is best for the baby Tarpon.
