    Default California Fly Fisher article

    Interesting article about what they are calling "slip on flies". The article claims fewer short strikes. Last night I tied a three inch streamer on a short articulated shank and slipped it on to a number 4 hook. Fished it briefly today for bass. Three strikes and three fish landed.

    I did send a letter to the editor. I thought I would post here in case anyone had read the article and wondered about the effectiveness of that type of fly. I think it has potential when used for streamers.
