Default Pyramid Lake half day today..............................

I had a half day to burn today so I made the hour drive to the 'mid.
I fished at Wino from noon till' 4:30.
I had the whole beach to myself (now I know why).
Fished a red Mahalo nymph above a Midnight Cowboy balanced leech at 11' under a 'cator.
I moved around a lot and covered about a hundred yard+ stretch of beach back and forth several times.

No grabs, no hits, no missed fish, saw no cruisers...........nothing. (at least last Saturday I was 0 fer' 3 there)

The beach to the north (I believe that's Monument Beach) from what I could see, had 1 person fishing, and the beach to the south (I believe that's Sandhole Beach) had what looked like 3 fishing.

The wind blew pretty dang hard, all afternoon, from the south, west, south west, and then @ 4:30 a "gust event" from the south chased me out of the water so I headed for home.

There you have it, a "fresh report" from Wino Beach at Pyramid lake.

I gotta' take a shower now and get this SKUNK SMELL off me.

Thanks for the report. Been thinking of heading up to give it a try. The wind was pretty gusty down this way yesterday. I'll bet it howled up there.

"I was there this morning from daylight till noon.....landed dozens of fish to 31 pounds."

Then I woke up and realized I was dreaming.......

    Thanks for that report Bob.

Would be so cool to catch one of those beautiful "new old" fish.
