I might get to fish the Klamath near Hornbrook soon. It seems like a boat is highly recommended. Is there much I can do with walk and wade? Any fishing advice? What about a good guide, if I decide to pay for a float day? Thanks for any input!

Best thing you can get that will help big time if you are wading by walkin in is the StreamTime map. There is access but more can be done out of the boat, and guide if you do not know the river well.

Spends quite a bit of time on the Klamath. One of their guides, Carl Mogerley lives on the Klamath and does drift boat trips.
Another of their guides, Andy Marx does walk and wade trips on the Klamath

Yep, always good to check with Bob at the shop for info on fishing in the north state but keep in mind that the shop is closed until the end of January due to construction.

Another question: If you were taking a 4 day weekend soon for steelhead Rogue, Klamath, Trinity, or some other choice?
Way too many factors involved to give a pat answer to that question. Depends on weather and flows and ...
But I will say that the Rogue and the Trinity are better walk and wade rivers than the Klamath and the Rogue is only good for walk and wade at lowish flows.
