There's nothing like making the second cast of the day only to see that
fancy commando head setup disappear into the river. If anybody snags
a 250 grain head with a pretty intruder at Gristmill, let me know 

On the upside, Hopefully the offering to the river gods results in some fresh steelehead.

You can cut off a few feet of mono shooting line every so often and reattach it.

You can cut off a few feet of a fly line running line and have a new welded loop at Kiene's.

You can turn around your fly line running line every so often too.
