Default Lower American River going down and then back up.

They are lowering the river for one day to put in the pickets for the fish screen and fish ladder at the Nimbus Hatchery.

Bill, how do you think the fishing will be between 7am and 3pm?

I'll take a guess - slow. Fish don't like these wild current swings IME. Maybe Im just a bad fisherman tho!

So one would think a steady push of water overnight??? And good to go after that's?
Question, 3500 CFS is a good number?

Fish don't like a quick fluctuation in water IMO. Dropping water is always good for steelhead after a good rain though!

Skip the Lower American this weekend? The last time they messed with the flows, I couldn't find a nibble on the river...
