    Default Caples creek

    Camping at china flat this week. Gonna hike caples creek trailhead down the road. should I bring my rod? Any advice appreciated.

    Yes! a little one or 2wt is awesome up there. Bring some 6-7x leaders/tippet and a pocket full of small dries. Love fishing up there!

    Yes, lots of action up both Silver Fork and Caples arm's , along the Caples Creek trailhead. Water is usually pretty low this time of year, but I would assume there should still be a decent amount of water this year and temps should getting down now. The trail follows silver fork for a mile or so and then the two arms come together. You can go up both arms...Trails along both sides. There is a bridge over the Caples arm, just above the confluence, that will take you back over to the Silver Fork arm. If you don't take the bridge, you can follow Caples up along thr trail

    3 weight, dry or dry dropper should do fine. Havent gotten anything big, but small willing fish should be plentiful!!
