Looks ugly; friend who fishes it regularly got two steelhead in two days way down near PR a month ago, last week he got blown out on the Bulkley and Morice. Said he talked to two guys who've been going there for years; three weeks, no fish. He is hoping they are late, as the Pinks are, but it seems all indicators pointing to a down year.

Regardless, I am going last week September through first week in October; if Steel don't show up we'll fish some rivers and lake for trout on the way home. Lots of options and that's a time for great trout fishing.

Just got back from a week on the Skeena at the Nicholas Dean Outdoors camp about 15 mi downstream of Terrace. 24 Pinks, 3 Coho (1 for lunch), 1 Sockeye, 1 Chum and 1 Steelhead. Two or three other Steelhead landed at the camp. A few that got away.
