I purchased an Lifetime Tamarack for for $200 at Walmart. I am very happy with it considering the price. After doing research for weeks nothing I found came close in value. You are welcome to try mine out if you want. I am not sure why walmart sells it for just over 200 when everyone else sells the same kayak for twice that.

One way to go is buy a cheap one and then if you get really wild about it you can sell it and move up some.
