Bill, there is (at least to my knowledge he still does it) an older gentlemen who is in the Loomis area that I've brought several rods too over the years. I want to say he goes by the name of Rod Doctor. Pretty classic. I would meet him at the old pharmacy on main street. I don't have a name because its been several years but somebody on here has to know who I'm talking about. He did good work.
It is our old buddy Jim Victorine in Loomis, California, the Rod Doctor.

I know he does a lot of rod repair and does work on split cane rods too.
Sometime folks leave their rods off at our shop for Jim.

Bingo Bill! Yes, a very nice guy who does good work for a nominal price.
Years ago Jim 're-set" one of my bamboo rods. Then, I went directly to his home in Loomis.
