This could be a popup tent trailer that you can tow with most anything.

We had tent trailer years ago and they are so much nicer than tent camping.

Even a pickup with a simple canopy will work for 1 or 2 people.

Some still prefer a cab over camper on a big 4x4 pickup so they can tow a boat.

Al Perryman and Dennis Lee drop off their camper once they get to the destination so they can pull the boat around and paunch it.

For 1 or 2 people I like simple cargo vans with a good bed in them.

We (LGC) offers camping trips - we call them hosted trips. We have people RV, Tent Camp and some that rent cabins. We also do RV Fly Fishing Tours. These tours are for both RV's and fly fishing. Basically we show you an area that is great for RV's and fishing. We show you the water and the campgrounds. So let say you have a 24' travel trailer. You can actually see places to camp and what sites to reserve before you even get there- because we showed it to you. Then we show you how to fish the water that you are camping at. It's a great way to get camping and fishing.

I am an avid RV'er and if you need help - let me know. I have help people for years with the RV's. So please let me know. I have also set up RV tours for groups of friends and families. A great Vacation.

Having a van that could double as transportation around town and as a camping vehicle seemed like a good idea to me (not so much with my wife). Then I did some research and found I could buy a small cabin in Montana for the price of some of these vehicles. Cabins usually go up in value - not so sure that is the case with vans. Is there something with a bit of quality and durability for a reasonable price these days? Also, just for my own curiosity, who is in charge of the paint and design on these things and why would they think swirling designs and Serengeti scenes and gold lame inside appeals to everyone?

Yes, in 20 years the cabin could be worth more but the van could be worth very little.
