I had the rare opportunity to catch Paiutes in the Silver King Creek drainage many years ago. When the creek was being rotenoned and barriers added to make it suitable for reintroduction, I went on a TU work trip coordinated by the late Leo Cronin. We were supposed to be electrofishing to remove fish for transport to some of the lakes. Unfortunately (fortunately for me), the water in the highest reaches of the tributaries were so pure that electrofishing didn't work. We were ordered by Fish and Game personnel to catch them on flies...
