    Darian,

    Dan Blanton has 1/2 dozen of my flies and so does Rob Andersen, Dan has tested my flies in his swimming pool and loves the way they dart around. Rob hasn't tested my flies yet. Dan will soon take my flies Striper fishing and give me another report.
    I will post the results.

    I too have an interest in the Pole Dancer as I love the "walk the dog" action of this fly. A friend had a couple of these flies purchased many years ago and decided to dissect one to get a better understanding of how it is constructed so we can replicate the design and tie some up for spring Stripers. This is what I had posted elsewhere but thought I'd post here for those that might be interested in this neat fly as not much information is out there on tying this fly.

    ========================================

    Thanks Carl,

    Wow $6, you are almost giving them away at that price. The fly I was given to "dissect" was supposedly replicated from Charlie's original design so I wanted to be true to the original if I could. I see the head of your fly is different and I'm curious does it "dance" or "walk the dog" as nicely as I've seen some of the originals do in some of the online videos ? Also, do you put any lead on your J hook as the original is also weighted ?

    Thank You.
    Chuck
