I swear by C&F to keep my flies dry/not rusty....
Fell down earlier this season and dislocated my shoulder, crushed my Little fly box too.
Been using them since they came out....and it's the first time I've managed to break one.
    That says a lot.....because I break things.....

Something else to think about: value of flies in your box. For insurance purposes I went through one of my nymph boxes and realized I had almost $700 in nymphs alone. Streamers were even more. Guess I'm not carrying those boxes on me when I get on the stream.
Tacky boxes seem to work really well.

Hey Jim do you not worry about flies falling out as those boxes are not enclosed?

Sorry when I mentioned "box" I should have said C&F design. No, i don't worry, because the box is a C&F 4.5" x 3.5 fat with a center panel. I've not lost a fly from it as far as i know, but if I lost that box it would be pretty bad. Without thinking, I loaded it up with a lot of nymphs so I could be ready for anything. I don't tie so I buy and the flies date back a number of years. Sort of a collection. Gotta be more selective when I go out.
