Trinity River - Fly Fishing Only Area

To my shock, they are raising the river today. By tomorrow it will be at 1500 cfs. I'm not sure what will happen after that. Usually we get about 20+ days to fish it in April, and then they raise it. Not this year.

So if any of you were planning to fish the Fly Fishing Only area, too late. If it's any consolation, the fishing was really bad on the opener.

Thanks for the report. I dabbled with the idea of heading up there later this week, looks like Pyramid or the Truckee then, if anything...weather doesn't look great. Maybe just a wine country day instead.
