Default Fly shop in Burney ?

    Hey Guys,

Does anybody know if there are any fly shops operating in Burney right now?

I understand that my old pal Vern retired.

    Thanks

    Carl

When I went last year there was a sporting goods shop that had fly gear. I think I got some tippet there. If you need a fly shop, stop by The Fly Shop in Redding first.

Burney Sporting Goods has a little fly fishing gear. Best choice is Matt Nichols' Intermountain Anglers in Fall River.

Burney Sporting Goods is kind of neat, it is sort of like a general store with fishing gear, guns, camping gear clothing etc... They do have a descent selection of flys and is fine if you just need to pick up a couple of flys, some tippet or leaders or floatant, the basic stuff. Other than that the other two fly shops mentioned would be worth a visit.

Seems like a golden business opportunity to put fly fishing supply vending machines in rural burgs that can’t support a retail FF store.

    You’re welcome.

Michelle Titus runs a small but well stocked fly shop at Clearwater Lodge not far from Burney.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy new fly fishing gear and that usually does the trick.

I think you are covered with "The Fly Shop" in Redding and Ted Fay's in Dunsmuir. I would personally drive out of my way to talk with Bob at Ted Fay's. There isn't a more genuine person then I've met in this industry.
