    Default Bass Bug Haircut

This is before the haircut and after the haircut. Quite a mess before they are trimmed. Looking at it you would not think there was a nice fly buried in there somewhere. I trim the bottom and the nose with a razor and the rest of the top with curved scissors. Looks like a rocker from a 1980's big hair band and then after he enlisted in the army.

That looks about like what we use in the Delta for top water LMB in the spring and summer.

We put a 25 to 30# clear hard Mason weed guard on them.

    Very nice John.....

NICE fly. Jay Murakoshi tied up something similar in front of me the other day at a demo in Fresno. I've gotta try these flies. Who carries clear hard Mason on a spool????

Ah thanks! I've checked fishermans warehouse here in Fresno, they did not have it, or rather, i did not see it and the salesperson i asked knew nothing about it, neither did herb bauers or sportsmans warehouse. manteca's bass pro only had short segments in a bag. I'll check marriotts and mason's web site.
