    Default Bass Bug

    If it ever stops raining this dude will catch some bass. The deer hair bugs are beautiful but they are a lot of work. The action on this is somewhere between a popper and a diver. I think the popping brings them around and the legs and tail hanging down in the water get them to bite. Hopefully a pike won't kill it on the third cast.

    Good lookin' bug. I like the color combo. That'll attract some attention....

    May is Captain Kevin Doran's favorite month in the Delta for top water LMB.

    That is one of the bugs he uses with a 30# hard clear Mason weed guard.

    It is called the Umpqua Swimming Baitfish or the Larry Dahlberg Diver.
