    Default Great Steelhead Genes

This has been a tough season for finding steelhead. A lot of watching weather forecasts, rescheduling or cancelling trips, looking at muddy rivers and trying to avoid the goose egg. I did have the privilege last week of seeing a couple of beauties. A 36" buck and a 34" hen caught close enough together that they might just get together and spawn. Great genetics in both of these fish that I hope are passed on. If I am really fortunate I might just catch one of their offspring in 5 or 6 years. Wouldn't that be nice.
