Nice work CDFW! Freakin poachers, I have witnessed this at Miller Park on the Sacramento River.

Called CalTIP but not sure what the outcome was.

    Thanks for sharing Bill!

    Nice to see the enforcement.

Seems like illegal drug sales is a common scenario with poachers around here.

Always good to hear of some of these people going down. I have witnessed some bad things here in Alaska where logistics can make enforcement all but impossible.

[Edit] per above post, nationality really doesn't matter to me, a poacher is a poacher. As for race, color or ethnicity I don't go there

I see the "Tin Boat Killers" every day I am on the water. For the most part the wardens are no where to be seen. I have been checked by wardens twice in ten years! Sad state of affairs!

Off topic, kinda weird, kinda related, I have never been contacted by a warden fishing in CA (i fish the Truckee area mostly) but I have been twice stopped by vigilante fly fishermen on the LT. One I guess thought I didn't look the part, the other wanted to make sure I wasn't using a lead split shot (even though lead was/ios legal?). I wasn't.

    From the posting:

If convicted, the suspects could face several thousands of dollars in fines and penalties, incarceration, forfeiture of assets and equipment and the revocation of their fishing privileges.

Why do I get the feeling this won't make one bit of of difference to the suspects?

How about a public stoning.....that would slow down their likely recidivism......

I like the idea of public stoning ,better yet caning! I would assume they're going to go away for a while with methamphetamine sales.
