    Default Lower Yuba 11-27-16

Finally got some time to go fishing.....

Main river was the color of Lipton tea and didn't get a touch with stonefly, SJ worm, or anything else. Decided to go for a hike and found some side channels with better water clarity and around 11am, some sz 16/18 adams were flying around. Put on two sz 18 baetis nymphs in dark olive/PT and fished the nicer water slowly. This guy cooperated and was a lot of fun.

    Thanks and tight lines~!

My buddy and I were out there today too. It was chocolate milk out there, but any rain is good rain I guess. I got shut out but my buddy managed to get 2 to the net. We just kept hammering the same runs until we managed to put a fly right in front of a fish. Very low visibility, maybe a foot or two. Nice little BWO hatch came off around 10am or so and a few sporadic PMDs in the evening. Didn't see any surface action. Tuff conditions but all n all still a good day on the water.

Nice job! Fish that ya work hard for are the real trophies.
    I'm wild about native planters!
