The Sacramento River running through Redding fishes almost year round.

Trout and Steelhead in the winter......

The Fly Shop should be able to give you directions to some place you can wade.

Warm water fly fishing for me in CA is April through October.

I am into top water so that is more limiting.

**People are catching LMB right now while fishing Stripers in the Delta on fast sinking lines and Clouser minnows.

Threadfin Shad on top being eaten by trout and bass in Shasta Lake could be good......?

Bob Quigley and Andy Puyans use to chase them in the Fall up there.

The bass bite is really good right now in many lakes. We catch some of our biggest bass this time of the year.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

    Default Lake Siskiyou....

If you don't mind a drive above Shasta Lake, one of our BB members fishes Lake Siskiyou for Smallmouth Bass and does quite well. Maybe he'll jump in with some advice. If you make it up there and it's no good, there's the upper Sacramento River between Shasta and Siskiyou Lakes. The lower Sacramento if those don't work out....
