Yuba Recreation Inc. is no more

Got the letter in the mail yesterday. After starting in 1973 Yuba Recreation Inc. will not be taking membership renewals after Dec. 31st 2016 and will be changing the locks on the gate Jan. 1st 2017. I'm so sad. Been a member for 20+ years and it offered some really cool private river access not to mention Foothill Bass in the ponds + Dove Hunting and great private camping. My best day ever for Shad was below the bluff at DaGuerre Point back in 2003. I always will remember the first King Salmon on a fly back in 1999. I'm crushed. Some things just don't last forever.

I haven't been up that way in years, but I had a key to that area for most of the 1990's. Good memories with my old camper, drifting from the Hwy. 20 bridge to the dam in my Don Hill Mini, camping with my girls and a couple of nieces and nephews......
