Thinking about heading up to both lakes tomorrow and maybe over the weekend. Planning on taking our float tubes. Anyone have any suggestions on what areas to fish at either or both lakes?
Thanks.

Kaiyasdad.....you might want to look at this weather forecast for that area......Lake Davis check out Fairview, and Frenchman Lake the boat ramp area on the south end of the lake.
Pyramid Lake would be a better choice with this weather.
Web site for the weather forecast.

Thanks. Headed to pyramid Friday maybe sat too. Thinking of trying Davis or Frenchman tomorrow and maybe Sunday.
Thanks for the info. Went to Frenchman and launched at the boat ramp. Few mins later my dad hooked the first fish of the day. Fished for about 4 hours with my dad and I getting a dozen or so each, all nice size.
Decided not to go fish pyramid Friday and went back to Frenchman. Fish still biting. Caught 8-9 each again in about 3 hours. Fish seemed to be a little bigger than Thursday. Use full sink line and buggers. Work 12-14 ft along the edges of the weed beds.
This is a good time for Eagle Lake (Oct/Nov/Dec) and Pyramid Lake (Oct - April).

Thanks for the report on your fishing trip, what was your best color at Frenchman?
Hey Aaron...I'm thinking of going up later in the week (usually Friday)...or, this weekend. Let me know if you want to meet up.
Mike
Davis and Frenchman have been on my wish list for a while. I have an opportunity to get away Thu-Sat but I'm concerned about logistics & weather. My preference would be to drive my 25' RWD motorhome, but I would also have to use the motorhome to access the lakes. I could stay in a motel instead and drive a 2WD SUV, or I may be able to borrow a 4WD Suburban.
I would be fishing alone in a float tube.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
