These are a couple of fish from Oregon last week. One nice wild steelhead and one very nice coastal cutthroat. We fished right in the middle of the five day run of storms they had. Fish pictures in the rain can be maddening. It is painful to think how many have been ruined by water on the lens.
Given the dire forecast conditions were actually pretty good most of the time but we still did not find many fish. We hit a couple of muddy tributaries one day which made it a bit of a boat ride. We also got gobbled up by a pack of three gear boats one day. They caught a nice fish about a hundred feet in front of us right before the take out. Pretty good chance we would have gotten that grab. It made their day and they were pretty excited at the ramp so I guess it was okay. It is great to get out even when conditions are not great.
