    Have you ever tried the old "Loop Between the Lips" method? A lot of old timers used that with our shooting heads & Amnesia. Worked good as long as you remember to spit out the loops before you cast!

    No I haven't, I know people who do, but it looks like a ton of extra work...and keeping the line in the water is the name of the game.

    Great video> Just tried out a shooting head with running line this weekend while salmon fishing on the upper klamath and had all kinds of problems..This will help. Thanks!

    Yeah. Landed two, lost two. My wife lost one at the boat, would have been her first salmon. My friend landed two. His wife caught one but it was the biggest at 15 lbs. Bounced row from the Iron Gate dam down to the bridge. Morning bite was much better. Got pretty hot in the pm, mid 80's. Most guides were bummin. My guide was taking his jet boat to the Eel to troll, but the bite turned on at the Smith and he headed up there for a couple of days. Stayed at the Blue Heron RV camp. Great spot right on the river.
