This place is kind of shocking because it is in the middle of "no where".....

The tiny town of Elkton is in the heart of the small mouth bass fishery on the lower Umpqua River down stream from Interstate 5.


The Big K Ranch near Elkton is a top place to stay and fish the river for Smallmouth Bass, American Shad, Salmon and Steelhead.

Right on the river in Elkton is a very nice modern clear RV Campground, Elkton RV Park.

Camp host Jim said people come there to fish the river and tour their 4 local wineries plus swimming and rock hoping in the river.
