Caples Lake, CA

When the fishing softens, I usually grab my Nikon and start shooting. I enjoy photographing the outdoors, Lakes, Mountains, Rivers and Streams. In the latter part of August, I began a four day Fly Fishing trip in the Eastern Sierras around Markleeville and both forks of the Carson River.

So, when it was time to head back home, I got on Hwy 88 and headed for Hwy 49. Plenty of material to shoot Meadows, Mountains, Rivers and Lakes. I shot over 300 frames with the DSLR covering Hope Valley, Kit Carson Pass area, Caples and Silver Lakes and the mountains west of Kirkwood Ski Resort.

I hope to post more of that area as times allows. Here are a few shot of Caples Lake. The North side toward Kit Carson Pass and a shot over Caples Lake resort near the Dam looking East.
