Agreed Bill,in Australia the 9wt.is regarded as the cherry in the Xi3 lineup.A lady I fished with last year on C.I.managed a 40lb.plus flats GT on hers.That's good fishing,I don't care who y'are!

I think that a 9' #9 line rod is a great size......40# GT wading is a real feat.
