    Default Frenchman Lake 6/7-11/16

After fishing Frenchman a week ago i wanted to go back up with a better fly and give it another try, i fished for 5 days mornings and evenings with this one fly on a intermediate line, 15 ft. leader, and a burnt orange stillwater nymph size 12.
This fly was working so good i decided to see how many fish i could catch on it before it got destroyed, or maybe i got lazy, if something is working why change it. The fly finally got destroyed on the fifth morning of fishing, i landed 50+ trout and lost that many before i could net them.....wow.....i'm going to frame this fly and hang it on the wall.
The water temp went down a little 64 degrees, and the surface activity also slowed down, but the trout were still in the same places just a little deeper.

This is the stillwater nymph that lasted 5 days of fishing.

This is what a new stillwater nymph looks like.

My wife Susan was having good luck with this fly.

There are some toads in Frenchman, this is a 3+ lb eagle lake trout that ate the stillwater nymph.

These eagle lake trout like to jump and pull hard.
