American River Salmon restoration

Just found out at work today they will be doing the biggest salmon restoration project on the American starting July 18 thru September 18. I have not found out the exact location yet but I would be curious if it would be in the same area they did years ago that didn't work?( side channel below the PCA bridge?) I would love for them to dump VW size rocks throughout the river , we need structure as well! Hopefully they hold water back for this project rather than dumping it .

Hopefully it involves fish passage over the two dams. I'm not holding my breath though.
