Fished a couple of spots after work. Got into double digits for the first time this year. They are still not here in numbers but if you look hard enough you might fine a spot where they are holding. Starting to see more anglers out fishing every evening but only a few catching. Give it a week or two and it will be fun and games for all!

Fished with Andy Guibord this evening. Got double digits again and they have just started coming in. Signs are pointing to a stellar run this year. Lot more anglers this evening but only a few catching again.

    Sounds like it's on.

    Congrats!

I'll be out this weekend at Verona.

Fished this am and only got one. There was a huge sea lion cruising around and it really put the damper on the bite!

Hey Jeff do you have any tips on fishing around gear anglers? I usually try to avoid them but when the fishing is good it's hard to avoid the crowds.

I don't like lineups but that can't always be avoided. The first thing us to make sure you talk to them before you jump in. Try to fish above them otherwise you would be probably casting over their lines. Don't ever walk up and start fishing below them (low holing) without saying a word! If I'm there first I normally tell they to go ahead and fish but warn then not to get too close because of my spey casts.

No shad for me after fishing for 5 hours down low. Saw another sea lion at Howe. I hope they stay down low and not follow the shad to the upper river!

    Good going.

I got some just upstream from the Feather confluence today. Looks to be a good run this year!
