A couple people in Law Enforcement told me long ago, Never leave anything in your car. No cell phone charger, no change nothing!

The traveling meth heads go from parking lot to parking lot looking for easy things to steal and sell. Your lucky they didn't get your fly rods.

Another awesome day on a float with Earle. Almost 50 to the boat! We found the bucket in a few spots. Earle said that he doesn't need a fish finder because he has me to sniff them out. The icing on the cake was landing a 5+ lb hen!

Regarding break ins on the American access points, there are some places worst than other but they can occur anywhere. The parkway used to have a crew go from one access to another to sweep up the broken glass. Bill Kiene told me once that you might as we leave your windows down with a 20 dollar bill on the drivers seat. I expect to be broken into at any access so I never leave anything in my car that is valuable.

She completed her cast, hooked and brought 3 to the bank. Yeah, I am a little proud to say the least.

I got her on video for one of them
Great getting your daughter into the fish!!

Scouted Sunday, Sailor Bar - one angler (he caught 6 total for day)

Scouted Monday Riverbend Area ( 3 spots ) - Lots of spin fishermen catching fish on the side opposite Bradshaw (West?), smallest shad I've seen - most appeared to be little males in the 13 -15" range. Saw fish caught both Sunday and Monday from about 9AM on. That side of the river had the run, as most were fishing within 30 foot of the bank.

Naturally I'm on the fishless side, so I watched with obvious envy. Zero grabs, no fish. One shattered window in a Toyota Tundra nearby, so the Meth Fiends were running on my side ...

30 plus on a float this morning with Earle. We got off the water at 1 pm and the raft hatch was in full gear!

I'm from Novato, and had not been up the last 2 years. Fished shad a bunch the year before. Was up last night and this AM. My usual spots seemed hard to fish in last night's higher water. A really nice fly fisherman in a boat shared a nearby place he knew had a lot of fish that he thought I could cast to. I hit it this AM at 5:30. It did have a lot of fish and they were strong and energetic. Nice to re-experience feeling ambivalent with each next fish since my arm was still tired from just releasing the one before.
( I'll gladly take the pain ). The fish seemed unusually large and very bright. All on Bloody Maria.
Later I watched a bunch of guys jigging up shad from the middle of the bridge where they launch rafts. They were getting fish in what seemed to be the deepest fastest current. I would have thought the shad would prefer the seams on the edge to travel.
