    Tom....the fly has no weight add but because the body is tied thin, and the hook TMC 2499SPBL size 8 or 6 adds enough weight to make the fly sink the same speed as the fly line.
    When you strip this fly it doesn't bob up and down, it darts forward and slows down, darts forward and slows down just like a bait fish.
    I tied this fly for Rollins last year it's a 5 color marabou UV Translucent streamer for the very clear water that Rollins and Bullards Bar will shortly have.

    is that a glass fenwick ff rod you are using?

    Really sparse streamers can be very effective.

    Bass should be getting up very shallow now....
