    Default The other Valley River

Been having fun fishing the other valley river. Lots of small springers and a few bigger fish mixed in. Lots of different fishing styles. Have used small glossy nymphs down to size 16 with 4x all the way to swinging the spey rod with size 6 green caddis soft hackles.

Nice report. That fish in the picture sure is Purdy! Although I am at a loss of ideas for what you are referring to as "the other valley river"...

Lower Sac, Lower Feather or Lower Yuba?

Lower American River and the ones mentioned above should all be good for resident trout and small Steelhead eating caddis, smolt, sculpin, etc......

    Try late afternoons.

Nice fish. The spring run are always the prettiest and best fighters. Thats definitely a Feather steelie.
