    Default Berryessa Bug Tussle

Ryan Williams put on a pretty nice fly fishing tournament last Saturday. It was called the Berryessa Bug Toss but I have always liked the name Bug Tussle so I decided to slip that in. I think Bugtussle, Tennesee was where the Beverly Hilllbillies were supposed to be from. Turns out it is a real place.

The tournament was a good time. We boated around in the morning and got pictures of all of the anglers we could find which was maybe half. They were surprisingly hard to find but it is a big lake and they were spread out. I have never been around a tournament and everyone seemed to like getting their picture taken so it was a lot fun for me. I kind of felt like a real photographer for a few hours and we got some good shots. Blasting off, casting, hooking up, netting, cruising around and holding up fish. All of the on the water fishing action we could shoot just the way we saw it.

    Good stuff.

Looks like fly fishing for bass is alive and well.

Some of the anglers in these photos would love to have one to blow up for the wall.

    Thanks John.......

Reservoir bass fish with the fly rod is popular. I just went to Oroville for two days and we caught a ton. It was very good.

If I knew them I would send them photos. Maybe Ryan will do that

We did not see M Thompson when we were taking picturebut I think he might be in the boat on the right in the third photo. If you see this, MT, let me know if that is you. If it is you probably saw me on the shore lurking with my camera.
