I was very lucky to meet Jack in Ennis, Montana once.

His doctor had recommended he took off some time from casting for Stripers in his home town of Boston, MA.



He was a taxi driver by trade and a famous fly fisher and fly tier.

Jack developed some very unusual fly pasterns.

Very creative guy. When I was program coordinator for CFFU many years ago, I had Jack come and do a program and tie a few of his patterns. This was "back in the day" when the fly fishing show was in San Rafael.
