Perfect flow for some fresh steel!
I love that flow......hope it does not go a lot higher.
February is a top month in the Lower American River for Steelhead.

Awesome! Looks like I need to pick up some heavier tips! Bill, do you know if this is a long term flow increase? I've heard that sometimes they will do a big flush like that for just a couple days and then decrease the flows again. Not sure if there's any validity to this.
The river will likely remain at that flow for a while and any change will be a higher flow not a reduced one.

Fish might go nuts with this flow and the bite will probably slow down. Either way I will be out next week a few times hopefully!

I'm an American river newb... How's this going to affect the fishing in the short term? Was planning to put some time in this weekend. thanks
