Its about time the river goes up a bit! Hopefully that will put the fish on the move and get em in the mood to eat! Thanks for the heads up, Bill.

They might have lock jaw with the change. Then again steelies can be unpredictable

I think that little change should be good.

Who knows how long it will be before it goes way up though.

Hey Bill, where do you get this scheduled release information? I've only ever been able to find real time flow data but never intended scheduled release changes.

Bill like I pretty much predicted the bite was very slow the day of the flow change. Its normal for steelies in my opinion to go in a lock jaw mode a day or two after flow adjustment. To a certain extent even weather change will slow a bite down but on most days it does not matter.

I got reports from a few friends that fished the river this weekend.

On my Fishhead app on my smartphone it says 780 cfs right now.

    That should help.

February is a great month on average for large winter Steelhead.

If the rain slows look for the coast to get good.

If the Russian River clears nicely it can be excellent in February according to the locals over there.

100% correct. They swam around me. A little frustrating but it beats working.
