    Default Steelhead today

The recent weather has inspired steelies to run up the American. I went to the hatchery and saw quite a few fish. Here is about 6 pounder that I landed this evening on a blue prom dress. A friend of mine broke off a large male yesterday on an articulated leech.

Very nice work, Andy! It's good to hear someone has finally landed a fish in the river. If anyone can make it happen, it's you! Your success has inspired me to hit the river a bit harder than I have been.

How was the clarity yesterday Andy? I figured it would be pretty colored
    up with all the rain.

    Thanks,

    Andy,

Picked up a wild version of yours this morning in the next run downstream, so there do seem to be a few fresh fish in.

Question - how much difference do you think the rains really make for a river like the Lower American, which really doesn't have a tributary and hasn't budged an inch as far as the flow, except for a tiny bit of street and tiny creek runoff?
