Default Nice to see Folsom Lake on the rise

Folsom Lake has risen from a low of 348.7 ft (13% of capacity) in early December to a current height of 366.6 (20% of capacity) as of today December 23, 2015.

Rain over snow... I'm sure has caused the latest and greatest spike (incoming flow to Folsom reached 22,000 cfs yesterday).

Hopefully, Thursday's storm brings lots of snow to the Sierras and cold enough temps to solidify it.

We have a long way to get out of the drought but so far, all of the right things are happening.

Rain is good but snow is better when wetter.

We got a ton of rain up here tuesday! The roads were chaos and being closed all over left and right. The rain is a bummer that it wasnt snow. But it did help turn that dry base into a really solid glacier style ice base. The bottom layer is quite solid now and should stick around all summer as long as we keep getting it. THe winter looks promising so far. Cheers to a wet 2016 and great year of fishing all through out the hot summer months as well!

    Keep it coming Mother Nature.

Ps...the east coast is dry this year so far. Lets hope we get hammered like they did last year. Id say its our turn.
