    Default American river

Is there enough flow in the lower American River to run a drift boat? Any sections to avoid?

    Thanks
    Tom

You should be okay anywhere except Goethe (River Bend)

It won't be good if you launch above and have to descend the Arden Rapids below the Goethe Bridge.

You can put in at Rossmoor Bar and and take out at Goethe (though that only gives you less than a mile to fish since the river is closed from Rossmoor up and down to the power lines at Ancil Hoffman) so launching at Harrington and fishing down to Watt or Howe would be a better option.

Not many steelies in the system.

    I'd go north...

    Thanks,
Been slow everywhere for me, hooked and lost a steelhead on lower sac last week; landed one yesterday on the feather, but only one other grab all day. Looking for drifting practice as much as fishing at this point.
    Thanks for the info
