salmon redds?

Sorry guys, I've got another newbie question.I've heard a couple guys refer to something called "salmon redds". I'm assuming they are talking about salmon eggs but you know what they say about assuming haha

Some time you can see the lighter colored gravel and rock where they have been clean out a nest.
