Over the years I have noticed that some of our local Striper Commandos like Charlie Gonzales, Jim Christensen and Andy Guibord have used Airheads locally for Stripers.


**I would recommend putting a few Airheads into your Striper fly selection.


I will check with them to get a fix on what colors and sizes they use......

Thanks for the reminder Bill. I have a few in the box and I really need to use them more often.
I remember fishing at night with a buddy a few years ago. Fish were busting bait by the lighted docks. They wouldn't hit our topwater offerings and would only take our clousers occasionally. As soon as I switched to a 1/0 chart/white airhead fished on an I-line, they were all over it. We ended catching some nice fish that night.
And I have a jumbo rainbow airhead as well. Might try fishing that with a floating line. Could be a deadly and stealthy topwater offering.
