Default Backpack straps for float tube

    Hi Guys,

I'm headed to some lakes in the high country with the float tube this weekend.

I had some straps that were quite long and had plastic connectors at the end
to carry a blown up tube on my back (connected the ends to the D Rings on
    the caddis float tube).

However, a few are broken. I've looked high and low for some replacements
to no avail. Anyone have any quick suggestions to carry a blown up float
tube on your back? I throw the tube over my day pack. Bungies work?

    Appreciate the last minute help!

You might be able to replace the plastic connectors at REI. They have an assortment to choose from.

Bungee cord it to a backpack frame. Way more comfortable to walk with, and waders, fins, and gear can be stowed in the pack.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Bought some straps from REI and
wrapped it around my tube and attached it to the top of my pack.

Worked like a charm, and pretty comfortable.

Hit six lakes, (Lakes Basin) only one of which had fish. Saw maybe 8 rises, but fish
weren't interested in anything I offered. Water was semi cold, so I'm
thinking there just weren't many fish in this lake anymore. Too bad
    because the hike is gorgeous.

I've hit almost 10 lakes in the last few weeks, only one of which had fish.

    C'mon DFG, start planting again!!
