Many will go to the Pacific coast to get cooled off. There is some fishing over there as well as clamming and crabbing.

Another choice has always been to go the higher elevations (over 5,000') to find some fresh cool air. Back packing or horse pack trip would be wonderful for most.

Head to Idaho and Montana for some hopper fishing. July, August and September are usually good months.

Some will go to Alaska for great fishing and cool weather.

Some friends were complaining that their fall steelhead trips are not looking good with the current drought situation. I told them to do something different....?

September in Alaska is big Rainbow trout time and the Silver salmon runs.

We are going to try to RV up on the Oregon coast "if the creek doesn't rise".
