A friend of mine is looking for a Sage 696-4 XP. Does anyone have one they would like to sell? Please PM me if you do.

In the XP era the 696-4 (9'6"#6 line in 4pc) was our top seller. Usually it is the 590-4.

With the lighter materials, longer rods are possible.

I have a 697-4 that will be my funeral rod. I.e, you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands. That 9'6" 6wt is one of the best blank designs off all time.

Mike, I totally agree. I have the 596, 696 and 796 and love them all!
