Hey Ken! I am settled in here in Portland. Funny thing is there's a lot of work here. And I'm a glutton lol so I haven't fished much. I have caught some top water smallies at a local lake tho so I still have a bit of a pulse. Lol so happy to be back in the west!
Another great video Ken! Hang on and listen to that reel sing! Definitely a thumbs up!!! Thanks for sharing.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

Dan and Pete thanks for your continued support. Will I see you guys on August 8th at the Truckee FF BBQ event?
Action from Graeagle to Catalina man I love this State! Gotta respect the variety, quality, and quantity of experiences throughout CA.
PS: J it's good to see it's all going well with the move.

Right on Ken,
Almost twenty years ago I attended one of your seminars on striped bass, you convinced me to do it and I do a lot. Then a thread here about ocean silvers in Alaska, I went up there and did it! Now this! I'm fishing with Cpt. Bill Mathews in a couple of weeks! My wife asked me, " who is this guy Ken Hanley?" I said " he is the man" I'm sure she would like you if she met you.
Thanks Ken,
Eric

Wow that looks fun-
Attempted this a couple years ago out of SD on an long range boat, got a couple follows but never hooked up- after that video, not sure how I'd have handled it!
That is such a rad clip!
Got me jonesin big time to finish up work and go visit my buddy.
Looks like some intense action to say the least.
WHat wt rods and what line are you guys using?
Mr. T...........
You'd figure it out pretty quickly. 1. Connect. 2. Control line. 3. Believe in your reel's design. 4. Dig in for the fun!
Gangster.........
On that day we used 8-10 wt. rod and reel (though the 10 was the sweet rig)
Leaders 18-20 lbs.
300-400 grain shooting heads,Clear intermediate sink tips.
Thanks for watching the vid.
Cheers, Ken
