Great job Ken.....
Tell us how, when and where to get into these nice Yellowtail?
I remember years ago my uncle and cousins who lived in San Diego would go down to the Bay of Los Angles in the Sea of Cortez in February for Yellowtail?

WOW!!! Another great video!! SoCal Yellowtail on da fly!! Fun stuff. I haven't had many shots at them at La Ventana, altho, they seem to hang around Cerralvo during spring months. The gear guys get them but flies almost never have a chance around there as yellowtail stay too deep to get a fly down to. I'm going o try the Podmore Anchovy pattern next year. It really looks good.
Thanks again, Ken....

Feb. March into early April for the La Ventana area. Usually at the south & north end of Cerralvo but sometimes you can get them around Punta Perico area. Early spring is usually cold and the north winds can blow you off the waters. I might take a trip early next year for a few days and try it out. Gotta look at the calendar

Thanks Bill. I shot the video off of Catalina Island (we launched out of Huntington Harbor, they also use Long Beach Harbor as well). The action was last week.
All the fish were taken just subsurface to 15 feet down. Very visual game. Great eats. Great gamefish.
Jay the bulk of the YT certainly come up from Baja, though there are some who hang around in Socal/Northern Baja waters much of the year. Solid action right now (without having to dredge deep for grabs).
Thanks Darian. Glad you enjoyed the show.
Cheers, Ken

Awesome Kenny! That is insane! I'm shaking in my boots right now and feel like I've drank 10 cups of espresso, wow! - J.

Wow Ken, this one is a grabber. I had to watch it twice. I can almost feel Johns strike in that sequence. Excellent work. I'm with Jay on the thumbs way way up.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.
Terry... The speed is smokin' fast! A blurrrr and a burn. Excellent.
Jbird... Thanks man. Are you all settled back into the PacWest?
Jon...Heck I needed Espresso just to calm down! Love this game.
Ed... It's OK to watch it more than twice. Really. I've watched it a gazillion times and still get charged.
Guys I appreciate your support. Many thanks for sure.
Cheers, K
