Default California's trout to get much needed protection. Show support!

California fishes to enjoy emergency protection to help them survive the drought. This is a bold and neccessary move by CDF&W. We are in a 5 day comment period. Send a short note of support regarding these regulation changes to fgc@fgc.ca.gov
Hats off to biologist Roger Bloom and to this forward looking commission and commissioner.

Here is what I sent, so perhaps other anglers in agreement with this can cut and paste it and sign their own name and hopefully that will encourage others to lets their voices be heard on this issue with minimal effort on their part.

    To Whom it may Concern:

Due to the severe drought that we are experiencing here in California, I fully support and agree with the temporary change in regulations (Section 8.01, Title 14, CCR) in order to preserve the valuable fisheries in our state. As an avid fly angler, I know that these changes might limit some of my opportunities to pursue my hobby, but I know that the long term view is needed in this case and the future health of our fisheries outweighs the short term inconveniences that anglers might experience. I hope that this change is made quickly and enforced doggedly by the DFW Wardens.

    Thank you!

I had just recently found this USGS temperature gauge reading for Watt Ave. If it's accurate, it doesn't look like its cooling down enough even at night to fish it responsibly....if you go by the theory that 68 is too hot. Gotta admit I didn't know it was that warm, in AR, thinking mornings are best until fall.

I received the letter "Notice of Proposed Emergency Action" today from the California Fish and Game Commission. My support has been sent. Thank you Ralph for the post.
